Halitosis is curable following correct differential diagnosis, that is by identifying the cause and potential contributing factors responsible for the unpleasant symptom and developing appropriate treatment.
For each of the causes indicated, it is necessary to develop specific treatment which takes into account the whole clinical context of the patient. It is therefore impossible to provide universal solutions to resolve the problem of halitosis.
